Wainer Guimarães

Founder of Art and Social- pastor

Wainer Guimarães is a Theologian with a Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary and a Doctor-in-Process in Contextualization at Fuller Theological Seminary. 

 

He is a Visiting Professor of Christology at Seminário Teológico Betel. He is a member of the Financial Council at Fundação Técnico Educacional Souza Marques, in Madureira, and A Member of The Rotary Club Tijuca. He is also a Member of the ABROL Rio (Academia Rotária de Letras da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro) and a Board Member of the American Society of Rio de Janeiro.

He is a Founder-Director of Arts & Social Transformation (501 C3), and Founder/ President of Plataforma Mosaico (Brazil). 

 

Wainer in 2002 received The Citizen of the Year award for the City of Riverbank, California, and in 2003 The Public Service Award at Stanislaus County, California. He is the Founder of The Bridge Church and of the Community Casa in Riverbank, CA. Was Supervisor for Americorps Vista at The Community Casa in Riverbank.

 

Wainer has been married to Maria M. Guimarães (Magui) since Jan 26, 1985, and the two are parents to Daniel Lucas, and Peter Mark; Both sons are artists in the area of Graphic Design and Theater graduates from Disney’s founded California Institute of Arts.

 

Wainer & Magui are permanent residents of Riverbank, California, and currently living in Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro.
